Curse Manga for their authoring practices

Gotta try resetting my DVD player to R2 only to try & watch 1.11 again before 2.22, with it in multi as many Manga releases have done it keeps skipping & pausing breifly, not a player issue as I decided to jack it in & watch Gran Torino on it & that was fine, I've had many discs from Manga that do this, anyone else run into these issues with them? yes I know that became a mini-rant, does make me think of getting the eventual R1 2.22 rather than the UK release though as I can't recall such issues with any R1 stuff

I'll add curse HMV as well I think, just cos I ordered it online they won't swap it for another copy in store & say I have to send it off for replacement, at least it's a freepost address. Also I understand a store asking to see the receipt for something if you need to try to get it replaced but as they are the only store with the 2 disc version of it in this case it seemed a little strange, shoulda just told em it was a gift so I didn't have a receipt.

The amusing part? I made a copy of the disc to see if that would work without the stuttery problems & after a quick test of the start of the film guess what? it did, what has happened to Manga in recent years?
